Actually posting something to LJ
Wondering what to post. Just thought I'd say stuff that you may or may not already know.

Ok, my granddaughter is due around March 8th. Can't wait for her to get here. I will be attending the ultrasound on January 29th. This is the ultrasound that will show us details of what she will look like. Of course, she's gonna be beautiful.

Regarding Carc n Slide: I have sold three at work, possibly a fourth. The library in Vidalia, Georgia is sooooooo excited to receive their copy. The person I am corresponding with (one of my coworkers who works in Vidalia), said that they are excited about the second issue coming out and her club has already said they will purchase the next one. She also told me yesterday that when the book is presented to the library, hopefully a photo will be taken of the presentation and she will send it to us. Steve also should be set up with a book signing (more details when I get them). And of course, we will make that trip with books in hand. And she wants him to talk to the group about life experiences as far as his art career. I am so proud of him...this is what I have been praying would happen...finally the recognition he so richly deserves. Of course, I always knew he had talent!!!

Steve and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary on the 17th. We went to Pine Mountain to Davis Inn...a place we frequented while dating. I don't know what it is about that place...is it the quiet atmosphere, the homelike environment...the fact that he and I can get in the kitchen and cook whatever we want, even though we bump into each other a lot as the kitchen is kinda small...I don't know what it is. Probably the fact that we are totally ALONE, away from the computer. Neither one of our cell phones rang either...now that's a good thing.

So ends my post here. I will have more news in the coming weeks!!

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!
Well, I know you will be surprised that I actually am posting in my journal. It has been awhile.

I started my part-time job at Kohl's on April 10th. Will pick up my first paycheck today. It seems working from 9:00 p.m. until 1:45 a.m. will be the norm. I set the ads for the handbags, flip-flops, bedroom shoes, sunglasses, socks, hosiery, and belts. You would think that removing and putting up sale signs would only take a few minutes, but it usually takes me at least 2 to 2 1/2 hours. You have to scan the sign already there, the hand-held computer tells you what to do, and then you put up the new sale sign. Then once I'm through with my section, if someone did not show to do their section, I go do whatever they had to do. We all pitch in and help, which is nice. I do enjoy working there, lots of good stuff to buy, and I also get a 15% discount on what I buy.

Steve and I are headed to St. Simon's Island on Monday as I have to be in a meeting in Brunswick on Tuesday. It's a 5 hour trip there, so we'll be leaving early in the morning so we can at least enjoy some daylight and a walk on the beach. We're really looking forward to it, kinda a mini vacation.

We both want to go back to Biloxi for those wonderful casinos. We may have to opt for Victoryland in Shorter, Alabama or in Wetumpka, Alabama - only an hour or so away.

Current Mood: tired

Trying to figure it out
I'm glad I have an LJ account, but I'm still very confused on where stuff is. Yes, I would love high speed internet. Eric has that and is always wanting me to get it.

Me, not paying attention? You know mothers have that "sense" about their children, but I do admit I get sidelined from time to time.

First Entry
Well, this is my first entry. Not sure what I'll say yet. Right now I'm watching VH1. Don't normally watch it, but since I have my upcoming wedding in October, I'm watching Christopher Knight getting married. Just wondering how long his marriage will last. They have fought most of the time. Fortunately, Steve and I have only had maybe two or three SMALL disagreements in the 3 1/2 years we've been together. Can't wait for the BIG day on October 14th. We will be married in the wrestling ring at GCW. We are both wrestling fans and are at ringside each and every Saturday. In fact, Steve proposed to me at the arena in front of 200 or so people on July 15, 2006.
